Important Information for C.A.R.E. Adopters

Here is some important information if you'll need to know if you adopted your pet from C.A.R.E.™

AVID MICROCHIPS & C.A.R.E. Tags

Community Animal Rescue Effort is no longer affiliated with the Evanston Animal Shelter. The C.A.R.E. Tags that were part of the adoption package have the incorrect phone number and should be replaced with an owners tag with current information.

All cats and dogs adopted from C.A.R.E. have had an AVID Microchip implanted.  The AVID microchip is registered to C.A.R.E. and C.A.R.E. will be contacted if your pet is ever lost.  Please notify us at news@care-evanston.org or 847-705-2653 if you move or to change any of the information obtained at the time of adoption.

C.A.R.E. WILL TAKE THEM BACK

Sometimes pet adoption decisions can be compromised by unforeseen events. It could be that the cat’s or dog’s temperament has changed, personal issues have arisen, or a new baby has arrived...

Whatever the reason, if you are no longer able to care for the dog or cat you adopted from C.A.R.E. — please contact C.A.R.E. We will welcome the pet back and will continue to care for it as before.

Please call and leave a message at 847–705–2653; identify yourself as a past adopter so we can help you immediately. We are no longer located at the Evanston Shelter, so please contact us directly.
